Speculators reduce net bearish positions in 10-year Treasuries
FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Friday, speculators reduced their overall bearish positions in the 10-year Treasury note futures last week for a fifth consecutive week.
The non-commercial futures contracts of the 10-year treasury notes witnessed a weekly change of +37,026 net contracts to total a net position of -36,579 contracts. Long positions in 10-year futures rose by 71,629 contracts and overtook the short positions which gained by 34,603 contracts.
Meanwhile, during the reporting time period - June 2nd to June 9th, the yield on the 10-Year treasury note jumped from 2.27% to 2.42%.
