Fed's Lockhart: Will no longer advocate for rate hike in April

Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart said Thursday he will no longer advocate for a rate hike in April, but added two or three hikes are still possible for the year.

Speaking in Bloomberg TV, Lockhart said that the Fed does not require inflation at 2% ahead of next rate hike and added March CPI does not “dramatically” change anything.

He also noted that US economy is not “highly vulnerable” to global weakness and sees US 2016 GDP at 2% or more.
