Fed's Kaplan speaking dovishly in Houston

Fed's Kaplan, who is speaking in a moderated Q&A at the 'Greater Houston Partnership Thought Leader Series has noted the US's high debt to GDP as a headwind.

Kaplan is expressing concerns over a Brexit and said that US businesses lack pricing power. He also suggested that the population is aging and that could be a problem for growth. However, on the flip side he advocates for a rate hike in June or July which means July reading between the lines.

RBA's Stevens backs inflation target - UOB

Analysts at UOB Group noted that in the final speech from Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) Governor Glenn Stevens focused on inflation and monetary policy.
