AUD/NZD fails to break above 1.0900

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The AUD/NZD finished Thursday unchanged after finding resistance at 1.0900. During the American session the Aussie recovered from 1.0830 to close around 1.0860, less than 20 pips above the opening price.

Early in Asia the AUD/NZD is trading slightly lower at 1.0850, ahead of the release of the RBA statement.

AUD/NZD eyeing key resistance

Several times during yesterday's trading the AUD/NZD rose to test 1.0900 but it was unable to break higher. The pair peaked at 1.0903 but retreated quickly. On Tuesday traded during most of the day on top of 1.0900, but failed to close above and reversed sharply. To the downside the short-term key support is located around 1.0810.

Sean Callow, analyst at Westpac Banking Corporation ABN said the US Jan employment report of course dominates the calendar ahead of the NY day ahead.
