Senate in the process of ending the Government shutdown?

The Senate is currently in the process of ending the Government shutdown according to Senators who are speaking live currently in negotiating another vote today, committed to bringing out a budget by Feb 8th.

Senate Democrats are on the brink of accepting a deal in exchange for the promise of a vote on the DREAM Act in the coming weeks.

The deal is expected to get strong support from Democrats that will include fierce immigration advocates like Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin who is the leading Senate advocate for so-called “DREAMers” and whose vote would provide cover for other Democrats to support an agreement.
