RBNZ: Possible will phase out LVR limits rather than remove at once

RBNZ’s Governor Wheeler, in a press conference following the release of the RBNZ’s Financial Stability Report, said that "rate rises will help damp house price inflation." Meanwhile, Grant Spencer (RBNZ Deputy Governor), said that the RBNZ "is keeping options open on when to remove house lending limits", while adding that "its possible that limits will be phased out rather than removed all at once."
